Después del huracán viene la calma…
Hello boys and girls. It’s been a long time, I know. I’m sorry I have been away… I had to dedicate more time to myself.
For those of you who know little or no English Spanish (thanks Valeria!), the title of this post (“Después del huracán viene la calma”) means “after the hurricane comes the calm”. This is a —very— Puertorican saying; after every stormy event (pun intended) comes the time when things settle down. Why did I choose this? Quite easy.
My grandmother passed, almost a month ago now. This caused quite a stir in my life. Sure, I’ve been doing things like I normally used to… but there’s still the thoughts: How’s my grandfather doing? How’s my dad doing? My aunt? Are they okay?
I have to say that I am much, much better than I was. This is mostly because of my friends, who’ve really shown me who is and isn’t one. I appreciate very much this opportunity I’ve had. To those who were by my side on a day-by-day basis: Thank you! Without you I would have had a tougher time than what I went through.
Get prepared! I will be blogging as often as I can (maximum: daily, minimum: weekly). Also, I’ve been assigned a weekly blog post at Twittericans.net, which is scheduled for Fridays. I think it was due time for me to return to blogging, so here I am and I promise I won’t disappoint. Take care, my little ones.

You’ll see that everything is going to be alright. Takes time, but it always does
